CGTP-IN APOIA GREVE GERAL DE 28 E 29 DE JUNHO 2011 NA GRÉCIA
Caros Camaradas, Em nome dos trabalhadores portugueses que representamos, transmitimos à GSEE, ADEDY e PAME a nossa mais fraternal e militante solidariedade com a greve geral de 48 horas, que coincide com o debate e votação no Parlamento do plano fiscal de médio prazo e a nova ronda de medidas de austeridade acordadas entre o governo grego e a “Troika”. Apoiamos plenamente o movimento sindical grego na sua exigência da retirada e abolição das medidas anti-laborais, anti-crescimento e anti-sociais do governo grego, contidas nesse plano e no novo pacote de austeridade. Estamos inteiramente solidários com a vossa rejeição desta vaga de despedimentos e de desemprego, de privatizações, crescentes desigualdades sociais e aumento de impostos. Como sabem, em Portugal estamos confrontados com políticas e medidas anti-sociais muito semelhantes. De 11 a 16 de Julho, a CGTP-IN promove uma semana de protesto e luta. Este é, na verdade, um momento decisivo em que os trabalhadores e o movimento sindical têm de se unir, juntando forças, para intensificarmos as nossas lutas contra as políticas neoliberais, que agravam dramaticamente a exploração dos trabalhadores e dos povos.

CGTP-IN SUPPORTS THE GENERAL STRIKE IN GREECE ON 28 AND 29 JUNE 2011
Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the Portuguese workers we represent, we convey to GSEE, ADEDY and PAME our most fraternal and fighting solidarity with the nationwide 48-hour strike for June 28 and 29, 2011 to coincide with the parliamentary debate and vote on the medium-term fiscal plan and the new round of austerity measures agreed between the Greek government and the “Troika”. We fully support the Greek Trade union movement in their demands for the withdrawal and abolition of the government’s anti-labour, anti-growth and anti-social measures contained in that plan and in the new austerity package. We are fully behind your rejection of the wave of lay-offs and unemployment, of privatizations, rising social inequalities and increased taxes. As you know, in Portugal we are being confronted with very similar anti-social policies and measures. From 11 to 16 July the CGTP-IN is organizing a week of protest and struggle. This is in fact a decisive moment in which the workers and the unions must unite and join forces, intensifying our struggles against neoliberal policies that are dramatically increasing workers and people’s exploitation.
